Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrade of your items. This allows you to improve it without having to rely on expensive trades or drops. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear effectively.
Upgrading equipment grants an increase to the item's base stats. The amount of bonus varies according to the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components make your armour and weapons better. They can be found by destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in item-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that contains the components, or by utilizing high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when you remove them from an item.
Upgrade components are typically used to upgrade an item, however, they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to boost the level or experience gained from upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can be forged for additional benefits. For instance, a created glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target, whereas a boost upgrade will enhance the defense or attack attribute of a weapon or armor.
You can bind an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. upgrade item will display the upgrade components to which the item can be upgraded. Alternately, you can utilize the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item will gain when upgraded with that component. Organic components, like have an increased multiplier of experience than mechanical components. You should upgrade your organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, and then move on to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade maximum number that can be received. The number of upgradeable items is determined by their upgradeable rank and the kind of upgrade they can get. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon that is the tier 10. The most popular weapon upgrade is a tier 6 gun and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects that share the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at least once. The upgrade increases the amount of bonuses you can expect to receive. The first time you upgrade an item, its primary stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be increased a bit more (for example, +1 up to 12+/13+/14+) Each time you upgrade the item it will have one of its additional stats will be increased randomly.
Upgrades can also increase a weapon's damage base. This can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons can't be upgraded to have a greater defense level than their regular base. Upgrades can be a great option to increase the value of a set and unique items, however it is important to keep in mind that they may not be more effective than a high-level raneword in any build.
If the item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus, it can be rerolled a few times and its guarantee will be reset to zero. The same amount of power dies are used to reroll an item, just as it would be to increase its level. However the new item comes with different bonuses. The NPC [ArmorBoboko Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll require a power dice of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the proper amount of Minerals and Erons. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector, and can be purchased with Gold. The NPC will also provide a special reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a single time with the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
A player can roll any item they have acquired in the game if they have enough reroll tokens to do so. When an upgraded item gets to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for a version that is level 1 of the same item from a different set. Reroll tokens can be purchased from the store for an amount of in-game currency, but they cannot be refunded. The new item will have the same bonuses like the first, however the stats will be different.
Players can change the identification of equipment in addition to changing it's roll by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and the attributes it requires. The change is permanent and will affect all characters that are wearing the gear.
Players can also boost the level of an item equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade components and communicating with the upgrader NPC of the item. The cost will vary depending on the upgrade track, the item type and number of crests. For weapons, each step will add 5% to its damage.
The upgrade of an item will make it more powerful, but it will reduce its effectiveness. It is therefore important to find a balance between these two. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all, while others will need to be upgraded to realize their potential. For example an individual player may decide to upgrade a piece of breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to discover what it could be.
The main reason people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to obtain a particular character or weapon that they aren't able to obtain. These items are time-consuming and costly to acquire and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only other options are to invest money or grind a lot. Rerolling is very popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
When upgrading an item you can level up the weapon or armor. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I think this feature was intended to increase the value of expensive and rare items. However, as most items are replaced quite quickly, and it can only be leveled up one level, you'll usually replace it before it is too old. It's also not worthwhile to level items that have gem sockets because the power of the gem will outweigh the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
You will see a small window when you click the upgrade option on an item. It will display the item's template, the crest, and the cost for Valorstone to raise the item's level. The cost will differ between the armor and weapons, with the former usually costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to an upgraded item as well as its current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the current Ilvl of the item as well as the upgrade templates. In addition the ilvl of the new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl reduction percentage. For example, a weapon with an upgrade decrease of 8% will decrease its value by 8-8%.
The item will get upgrades to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage and block, parry, and dodge rating, in addition to the base ilvl. These increases are based on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can determine the amount of damage or defense the item will suffer when it is upgraded. This is shown below the cost and the upgrade percentages. Apart from the practice equipment, all armor and weapons gain the same stats once leveled up. The value of these additional stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly rolled weapon or piece of armor is able to command more trade value than non-upp'd versions. Similar is the case for other pieces of armor such as tiaras and circlets.
